2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence and HUDSY is excited to launch a year-long powerful initiative called “250 Acts of Positive Change”.
Rather than traditional “250th Anniversary” celebrations honoring the US’s complicated past, HUDSY will use the anniversary as inspiration to focus on celebrating what has always made the US great: the beautiful and resilient communities working together to make a better world.
The goal of this year-long, short-form, docu-series will highlight 250 tangible acts of positive change across the Hudson Valley, each with their own short video. Each act emphasizes service, creativity, healing, justice, or connection, creating a mosaic of local impact encouraging others to take action or make a difference in their own communities.
In addition to the 250 individual 1-3 minute videos, HUDSY will release a progress film around the 4th of July as the “250th Anniversary”-hype peaks, and the project will culminate in a short documentary honoring the positive impact created in the community as well as a digital archive of the individual acts.
